Uruguay’s participation in this forum reaffirms the country’s importance in global dialogue and its commitment to multilateralism, democracy, and peace, Foreign Minister Mario Lubetkin announced.
Orsi will meet with the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sanchez; the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum; and the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa.
According to Lubetkin, at the summit the Uruguayan head of state will focus his remarks on the defense of multilateralism, a priority for Uruguayan foreign policy. “It is a very broad and impactful platform where it is important that Uruguay’s voice be heard,” the Foreign Minister stated.
Yamandu will visit a Spanish supercomputing company in Barcelona and, before concluding his stay in Spain, will meet with representatives of his compatriots residing in the Iberian country.
The Uruguayan president’s return is scheduled for April 19.
