The situation of our compatriots detained in that country is a priority, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed in a statement on Palestinian Prisoners’ Day, which is commemorated this Friday.
The Ministry stated that its staff is working with the international community to support prisoners, who “face harsh conditions and systematic violations that contravene the international regulations.”
It emphasized that this issue represents one of the most striking aspects of the human suffering endured by our people under the yoke of occupation, in light of the continuation of arbitrary and administrative detention policies that lack the minimum standards of justice.
The diplomatic institution denounced the inhumane practices, including torture and ill-treatment of detainees, deliberate medical neglect, solitary confinement, and deprivation of their basic rights.
