The Cuban Embassy in China hosted the event in the context of the anniversaries of the Jose Marti Pioneer Organization (OPJM) and the Young Communist League (UJC).
The event brought together several generations for a day of exchange that highlighted the historical ties between the two nations.
Cuba’s Ambassador to China, Alberto Blanco, told Prensa Latina that international solidarity with the island shows its historical commitment to supporting other countries.
Gabriel Chan, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, reaffirmed the organization’s support for “the just struggle of the Cuban people against imperialism and hegemony.”
Argentine researcher Emiliano Lopez also told this news agency that supporting Cuba in the current context is “an expression of humanism”.
Brazilian Carolina Igomie highlighted the significance of internationalism and expressed her desire to continue supporting the resistance of the Cuban people.
These statements come amid broad international support for Cuba following the latest threats from the United States and President Donald Trump.
