According to the prestigious institution, which houses iconic works of art such as Velazquez’s Las Meninas, Goya’s The Nude Maja, Bosch’s The Garden of Earthly Delights, and El Greco’s The Knight with His Hand on His Foot, the awards ceremony will be held on May 11 in New York.
The public’s award, which was based on 25,000 votes, focuses on the category of Social – Best Overall Social Presence, while the Webby Award recognizes the Prado Museum as an international leader in digital cultural communication.
The award-winning proposal, titled The Prado Museum: Bringing Humanity to the Digital Cultural Space, underscores a strategy based on high-quality content, community engagement, and a consistent daily presence on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, through which the Museum shares art and knowledge with a global audience.
The Prado Museum is the most visited museum in Spain, attracting an average of nearly three million visitors each year.
