Cuban Ambassador to Adis Ababa, Meylin Suarez, affirmed that “the truth of the Cuban people will not be silenced; the suffering of millions of Cubans, due to the US blockade and the brutal economic war, is an act of genocide.”

Suarez underscored that this policy of hatred and the continuous threats of military aggression against the Cubans are contrary to the values of millions of men and women who love peace and defend solidarity and humanism.

The ambassador urged us to join a movement that allows us to express our convictions and denounce barbarity. “Let us make our stance the firmest and most resolute condemnation of all policies contrary to the life and rights of the Cuban people,” she emphasized.

The diplomat affirmed that with these signatures, they reaffirm the unwavering commitment to peace that is the essence of the Caribbean nation, forged with the deepest conviction that self-defense is not only a right, but, as enshrined in our Constitution, the greatest honor and supreme duty of every Cuban.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel started this movement with his signature last week as part of a campaign that seeks to mobilize national and international public opinion to reveal the truth about the Caribbean nation.
