The two-day event takes place under the theme “Achieving Progress Towards Achieving the 2030 Agenda and 2063 Agenda Through Transformative and Coordinated Actions in Science, Technology and Digital Innovation.”
This theme complements that of the 12th Session of the African Regional Forum on Sustainable Development, under the theme, “Turning the Tide: Transformative and Coordinated Actions for the 2030 Agenda and the 2063 Agenda,” scheduled for April 28-30, also in this capital.
The event is specifically designed to disseminate technology and innovation and expand the political and operational efforts needed to accelerate contributions to achieving the 2030 Agenda.
It will offer, in particular, opportunities to showcase high-impact technologies, innovators, companies, and research and development institutions with significant contributions to development.
Participants in the meeting include representatives from African member states of the United Nations, the AU Commission, the African Development Bank, regional economic communities, civil society, business and industry organizations, and academic and research institutions, among others.
