According to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior, the operations aimed to dismantle an international trafficking network with regional reach and resulted in the seizure of 1,730,000 Captagon tablets destined for a neighboring country.
Authorities also arrested eight members of the network, including one woman, as part of the ongoing investigations.
The Ministry emphasized that the Anti-Narcotics Department will continue to conduct coordinated operations with regional partners to combat drug trafficking networks and strengthen measures to prevent the circulation and spread of these substances.
Previously, the Ministry of the Interior revealed that during 2025, authorities seized more than 14 laboratories and warehouses in various provinces, in addition to 122 tons of raw materials intended for the manufacture of narcotics.
They also confiscated 365 million Captagon pills and some 13 tons of drugs, including four tons of hashish, two tons of crystal methamphetamine, two tons of cocaine, and three tons of marijuana. These actions dealt a blow to major drug trafficking networks with national and regional reach.
