“”Under the auspices of the Russian space agency Roscosmos and the Flight Control Operations Group of the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS), a collection of 89 popular music videos representing Russia’s musical landscape was delivered to Russian cosmonauts,” the statement said.

The text states that the collection lasts approximately five hours and includes songs dedicated to different parts of Russia. The diversity of its people is reflected through the songs of artists from different generations, nationalities, and regions.

The initiative was promoted by the RU.TV television channel as part of the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia, in conjunction with Roscosmos, and coincides with the launch of the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Progress MS-34 cargo spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

Russian President Vladimir Putin declared 2026 the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The initiative aims to strengthen national unity, peace, and harmony among the peoples of the Russian Federation.
