The concert is conceived as a tribute to the creators who, through tradition and innovation, sustain the country’s cultural vitality.
Inspired on a homonymous poem by Carlos Puebla, the performance is a musical journey that underscores art’s capacity to resist and flourish even in times of crisis, the ISA stated on social media.
Guest artists such as countertenor Eduardo Sarmiento, flautist Gabriel Garcia, and actor Yasser Castillo, contribute to the celebration with a diversity of styles and musical languages.
On May 9th, at the National Museum of Fine Arts Theater, an event will be held to reaffirm that, in the face of adversity, “artists remain” as the voice and light of society, organizers explained.
The performance is part of the commemorative activities program of the ISA (Higher Institute of Art), an institution that for five decades has trained generations of musicians, actors, and visual artists.
