In a message on X, the island’s Foreign Minister emphasized that Cuba is a developing country, relatively small, and, moreover, “subjected to a brutal economic war.”
Therefore, he called it absurd that it “could pose a threat to the world’s greatest military, technological, and economic power.”
It is also absurd, Rodriguez argued in his rebuttal, knowing that Cuba is a peaceful country that does not attack others, does not allow its territory to be used against others, and has a clean record against terrorism, international organized crime, and violence.
Likewise, Cuba’s top diplomat, Bruno Rodriguez, stated that these elements are known to the administration in the White House in Washington and its security and defense agencies.
Finally, he categorically warned, “You can’t fabricate pretexts with such weak and fallacious arguments,” he declared.
