Colombian Asia-Pacific Cooperation committee is in session

Bogota, Apr 30 (Prensa Latina) The General Assembly and Symposium of the Colombian Committee for Asia-Pacific Cooperation will be held on Thursday in this capital under the leadership of Colombian Foreign Minister Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio.

This nation’s ministers, experts from Australia, China, Korea, and Japan, as well as Kaewkamol Pitakdumrongkit, Executive Director of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC), will attend the event at the San Carlos Palace, headquarters of the Foreign Ministry.

The symposium will be held under the theme “Priorities and Challenges of the Colombian Economy in Asia Pacific 2026: Innovation, Agritech, Alternative Energies, Strategic Minerals, and Aging Demographics,” and serve as the starting point for discussions on issues of common interest among the attendees.

Sources in this capital stated that the activities aim to boost economic cooperation through business and research events with partners from the said Asian region and define strategies that will strengthen ties between the parties.
