This issue concerns the possibilities and potential, as recently addressed by the Director General of Marketing for the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur), Lessner Gomez.
During an edition of the Mintur magazine, El Sol de Cuba, Gomez exoressed that the event will present new business opportunities in the sector and travel incentives for Cubans residing abroad.
He emphasized that they are preparing new incentives to increase arrivals of Cubans in this situation, as they want to strengthen this market.
He added that specific products were designed, in conjunction with inbound travel agencies, ranging from car rentals to hotel services tailored to the needs of those traveling to reunite with their families on the island.
The executive emphasized that there is a comprehensive program that will be presented during the Fair and will allow promotional offices abroad to market these offers more effectively.
He noted that they carried out significant work to create all the necessary procedures for Cubans residing abroad and their families.
FITCuba, now taking place either online or in person from May 7 to 9, comprises two virtual days for tourism professionals, and the final day in person, which is dedicated to the general public at Josone Park in Varadero resort, about 140 kilometers east of Havana, the island’s capital.
