The residents of Holguin were joined by Vice President Salvador Valdes Mesa, along with Deputy Prime Minister Ines Maria Chapman Waugh and Major General Eugenio Armando Rabilero Aguilera.
Attendees packed Major General Calixto Garcia Square to confirm that they will not renounce national self-determination and that they will not hesitate to defend the country against any attempt at external aggression.
Valdes Mesa and Chapman Waugh led the march, which, according to participants, shows that the unity of the people is the most effective weapon to protect Cuba and move forward in the face of current economic difficulties.
