The NGO reported that most of the demolished homes were inhabited, leading to the displacement of numerous families.
The organization explained that the demolitions took place in Silwan, especially the al-Bustan neighborhood, as well as in Jabal al-Mukaber, al-Sawana, and the Old City.
It noted that most of the demolitions were carried out by the owners themselves to avoid paying substantial fines and legal costs.
The Center warned that many of those arrested were elderly people, children, and Palestinian women.
Fakhri Abu Diab, a Jerusalem expert, recently warned of the increase in demolitions in the ciñty as part of a strategy to change the demographics of the eastern part of Jerusalem.
