The president of the Cuba-Italy Agency for Cultural Exchange made these statements to Prensa Latina on the occasion of the International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba being held in this capital.
“What is happening today is a continuation of what happened yesterday, when we rose up with thousands of Havana residents on such a significant date to demonstrate that the homeland defends itself, he said.
And added that such a sensitive moment, when the threat of armed aggression is clearer than ever, we are supporting the Cuban people,” Michele stressed.
He also referred to the need for better organization to show this solidarity because, although the Caribbean nation is experiencing difficult times, it has broad international support.
Beyond the material resources, she insists that the greatest value of the convoy lies in the human connection.
He affirms that the intention has been to move at the same pace as the Cuban people, to share their realities, and to demonstrate that, despite adversity, there are possible paths forward.
