Ledesma noted on her Facebook profile that progressive organizations in Malaysia celebrated May Day with a rally through this capital’s main streets, in support of the international call against war and in defense of workers’ rights.
The ambassador highlighted in particular that the solidarity friends of the island marched with a Cuban flag and signs and ribbons that read: “Peace for Cuba,” “End the US blockade against Cuba,” and “Let Cuba live.”
The participants also chanted in Baha and Spanish, “The People United Will Never Be Defeated,” as a new demonstration, this time from these lands of Asia, that Cuba is not alone.
