Israel bombs southern Lebanon, Hezbollah responds with rockets

Beirut, May 3 (Prensa Latina) The Israeli army bombed several areas in southern Lebanon, in a further violation of the ceasefire agreement, while Hezbollah responded with an attack on the settlement of Avivim in northern Israel.

According to reports from Israeli state media, the air force launched attacks against various locations in southern Lebanon, without specifying the targets hit.

For its part, the Israeli army reported that, after sirens were activated in the Avivim area, several rockets were detected being launched from Lebanese territory.

The military pointed out that one of the projectiles was intercepted, while the results of the others are being assessed.

Meanwhile, Israel’s Channel 12 reported that Hezbollah launched six rockets in the latest attack against the settlement.

Israeli authorities maintain strict censorship regarding the results of interceptions or potential impacts of rockets and drones, amid escalating tensions with countries in the region, particularly Lebanon and Iran.

According to data compiled by media outlets, the Zionist army carried out 94 attacks against Lebanese territory, including airstrikes and artillery bombardments, which left at least 19 dead and several wounded.

In response, Hezbollah launched five attacks against Israeli targets in southern Lebanon, which it claimed targeted troop concentrations and an anti-tank position.
