Lin said China has always opposed unilateral sanctions without the authorization of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and is dissatisfied with the British side’s practices.
The spokesperson added that this nation has made formal representations to the British side seeking agreements to resolve the existing problems.
The diplomat stated that, regarding the Ukrainian crisis, China has always questioned the authority and strictly controlled small-scale exports by residents.
Lin added that cooperation between China and Russia in political education will not be interfered with, and China will take necessary steps to safeguard its own legitimacy resolutely.
The United Kingdom has implemented successive rounds of unilateral measures against Moscow since the beginning of the conflict in 2022, in coordination with NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) allies and the European Union (EU), while Beijing maintains a position of neutrality and advocates for a lasting political solution through multilateral dialogue.
