The organizers emphasized on social media: “We must once again be thousands in the streets defending our future.” The march to Plaza de Mayo in this capital will be “for education, public universities, and national science.”
The video shared from the Faculty of Exact Sciences’ account shows footage of previous demonstrations and the approval last year of the University Funding Law, which the administration of President Javier Milei has failed to implement.
The call to action states: “They chose not to listen to us. No-one should be above the Law. You have already decided, the Argentine people have already decided”.
“That is why we must be more numerous than ever, marching to ensure that what we have already achieved is fulfilled. This is no longer a struggle; it is a reality.”
Several protests have been held during the first few months due to the government’s failure to implement the University Funding Law, ranging from public classes to union-led actions.
