The university’s rector, Aniuska Ortiz, presented the scientific results and teaching adjustments that guarantee educational quality in the blended learning modality to authorities from the National Assembly of People’s Power (ANPP) and the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC).

During the systematic review, it was highlighted that 40 of the research projects directly address real needs in the province. In addition, four territorial programs prioritize the development of public administration and efficiency in the tourism sector.

The Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs, Roberto Perez Almaguer, announced the opening of a Bachelor’s Degree program in Tourism in the municipality of Antilla. This initiative aims at training professionals for this economic engine, even in the current complex context.

The academic strategy fosters independent learning and the integration of students into related institutions.

Currently, the university also serves students from the provinces of Granma, Guantanamo, and Santiago de Cuba, as well as from the University of Computer Sciences (UCI).

The meeting recognized the social impact of the University of Ho (UHo) through food production and collaboration with hospitals. Programs such as the Youth Network for Life and the Senior Citizens’ Chair strengthen the institution’s community ties.
