Dominican Ramon Antonio Veras denounces Trump’s belligerent policy

Santo Domingo, May 11 (Prensa Latina) Dominican lawyer and writer Ramon Antonio Veras launched a strong denunciation against US President Donald Trump, whom he holds responsible for creating a climate of global uncertainty due to his belligerent actions and rhetoric.

From Santiago de los Caballeros, Veras stated in his article “Bellism and Offenses Against World Peace” that humanity, unintentionally, is experiencing moments of political, social, and military upheaval, while the universal aspiration to live in peace is being threatened by arms interests and unchecked ambitions.

In his analysis, he stressed that millions of people around the world are disturbed by the actions of Donald Trump, whom he accuses of using aggressive and provocative language against countries like Cuba and Mexico.

He also asserted that pacifist groups, including Latin American peoples and religious figures like Pope Leo XIV, have been victims of grievances stemming from U.S. foreign policy.

Veras considered that the U.S. president has led the world into a “tense and extremely difficult” situation, noting that no country is obligated to endure threats or words that generate irritation and conflict.

The Dominican jurist also called on the peace-loving American people to mobilize to stop warmongering and the arms trade, affirming that the majority of citizens in that country reject fascism, unjust wars, and international violence.

He also reiterated his hope that “the part dominated by goodness” within the United States will ultimately prevail over the sectors that promote armed conflicts and global confrontations.

Ramon Antonio Veras’s statements come amid recent international controversies provoked by Donald Trump, including threats against Mexico and Cuba.
