Africa’s natural resources wealth and the environmental challenges linked to their mismanagement focus the sub-theme on environmental justice and climate-induced migration. This will show how droughts and resource exploitation displace millions of people and threaten livelihoods.
The session agenda also includes social inclusion, gender justice, youth empowerment, and indigenous knowledge.
The 87th ACHPR’s private session was held from April 24 to May 4, during which the reports of the States Parties, cooperation with national institutions dedicated to this activity, and the human rights situation in Africa, among other issues, were analyzed.
