Six killed in Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon

Beirut, May 15 (Prensa Latina) At least six people were killed and several others wounded in intense Israeli bombings of towns in southern Lebanon, amid renewed violations of the ceasefire agreement in effect since April 17.

According to the National News Agency (NNA), two people were killed and a third wounded in an Israeli attack on a car in the city of Nabatieh.

The attack also damaged three ambulances, one of which was completely destroyed.

In another nighttime bombing, four people were killed after Israeli aircraft attacked a house in the town of Harouf.

The agency also reported that one person was wounded near the industrial area of ​​Kfar Remman.

In the Tyre district, nine people, including two nurses, were injured during an Israeli airstrike on the People’s Aid Center near Hiram Hospital in the town of Shabriha.

Israeli aircraft also bombed the towns of Abbasiyeh, Maashouq, Hamadiyeh, and Shahour, while in the Bint Jbeil district, attacks were reported against Froun and artillery shelling targeted Qalawiya, Burj Qalawiya, Kounine, Barashit, and Beit Yahoun.

Hostilities continue despite the ceasefire agreement, which expires on May 17 and which both sides accuse each other of violating.

Since March 2, the Israeli offensive against Lebanon has left thousands dead and wounded, in addition to extensive material damage and population displacement, according to official Lebanese figures.
