The News newspaper stated that Naqvi held a 90-minute meeting in Tehran with the Iranian president, during which they also discussed relations between the two countries.
Pezeshkian stated during the meeting that the attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel were aimed at sowing insecurity within the Iranian country; however, he said, the plans failed due to the refusal of several countries in the region to become involved in the conflict.
The Iranian president thanked Pakistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan for not allowing their territories to be used for military actions against Tehran.
The media report that the interior minister also held a separate meeting with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, during which they exchanged views on key issues.
Ghalibaf praised Islamabad’s stance during the recent conflict, emphasizing the expansion of economic, cultural, and security cooperation between the two nations.
