“President Ho Chi Minh not only found the path to national salvation and liberation, but also laid the ideological foundations for the construction, protection, and development of Vietnam in the new era,” To Lam wrote in an article commemorating the independence hero’s 136th birthday.
For him, the top party leader underscored, national independence was intrinsically linked to the freedom and happiness of the people, and to socialism.
The CPV general secretary stressed, “The national liberation was the starting point of a great adventure: the construction of a peaceful, unified, and independent Vietnam, where the people are masters of their destiny, live in prosperity, freedom, and happiness, receive education, achieve comprehensive development, and enjoy the results of the revolution.”
He also emphasized that Ho Chi Minh’s thought is not a set of immutable and closed propositions, but a dynamic system of perspectives, always connected to reality, starting from it, and considering the interests of the nation and the happiness of the people as its supreme goal.
He emphasized that, above all, President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology that “the people are the foundation” remains the guiding principle of all policies and strategies in the current period.
To Lam also stressed that Ho Chi Minh’s thought on Party building remains a particularly important foundation for building and reforming the CPV and the political system in the new era.
