The release stated that the maneuvers, which started on Tuesday, are being conducted under conditions of “threat of aggression,” and the Russian side includes all components of its strategic nuclear triad: the Strategic Missile Forces, missile submarines, and long-range aircraft.
The military institution added that Belarus is participating with the country’s forces responsible for the tactical weapons deployed there, which will practice their deployment and use in combat.
The Ministry noted that the current drills, running until May 21, differ significantly from those of last year due to a greater participation of the naval component and joint training in the use of nuclear weapons.
