The release states that ROSATOM Deputy General Director Nikolay Spassky met with a delegation from Equatorial Guinea headed by Foreign Minister Simeon Oyono Esono Angue, at the corporation’s headquarters in Moscow.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with his Equatorial Guinean counterpart to discuss issues of common interest, including trade, the economy, energy, education, health, defense and security, as well as the artificial intelligence (AI) and technology sectors.
The Republic of Equatorial Guinea is located in Central Africa, on the continent’s west coast. It is among the three largest oil-exporting states in sub-Saharan Africa.
Relations between Russia and Equatorial Guinea were established in 1968.
