Argentine locality to launch book “Mundo Che”

Buenos Aires, May 21 (Prensa Latina) The historic Argentine locality of Concepcion del Uruguay is the ideal setting for the launch of the book "Mundo Che" (Che World), by journalist and writer Juan Dario Fuentes, who will be accompanied by Juan Martin Guevara, brother of the heroic guerrilla fighter.

Che Guevara’s brother and Fuentes, who is also the director of the La Pastera Che Guevara Museum in San Martin de los Andes, in the Patagonian province of Neuquen, traveled to the small border city in the Entre Rios province to receive, in a formal ceremony, the passport of Che’s mother, Celia de la Serna.

Fuentes told Prensa Latina that the safe-conduct had been filed, forgotten, since Celia was arrested in Concepcion del Uruguay as she returned to Argentina through that border crossing from Uruguay in 1963, until a court employee recently found it during a review.

He told Prensa Latina that his book is a historical and human approach to the figure of Ernesto “Che” Guevara, based on 15 years of research.

The book avoids nostalgia for the past to focus on reconstructing the man behind the political myth through testimonies from his inner circle.
