The Hashemite Charitable Organization reported in a statement released by the Petra news agency that the convoy was organized in conjunction with the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Jordanian Armed Forces, and the United Nations World Food Programme.
The shipment consists of 25 trucks carrying medicines, infant formula, and food supplies intended to support the sectors most affected by the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon.
According to the organization, the aid aims to strengthen the health system, improve food security, and meet the basic needs of vulnerable children and families.
The organization’s Secretary General, Hussein Shibli, stated that the continued dispatch of convoys reflects “Jordan’s firm commitment to its humanitarian mission,” and highlighted the cooperation with regional and international partners to expand relief operations.
The organization also expressed its gratitude to the Syrian authorities for facilitating the transit of the convoys into Lebanese territory.
Jordan has been sending humanitarian aid to Lebanon since March 11, following the start of the large-scale Israeli offensive against the country on March 2.
According to official Lebanese figures, the offensive has left more than 3,000 dead, thousands wounded, and displaced more than 1 million people.
