The PCE publicly stated that the accusations are part of a plan of “disinformation and justification for future actions against the Cuban people.”

The political organization also stated that these actions are part of what it described as Washington’s “imperialist agenda” against Cuba and linked them to the tightening of the economic blockade and other measures adopted by the administration of President Donald Trump.

The statement indicated, “This warmongering maneuver is included in the list of aggressions conducted by the Donald Trump government as part of a psychological attrition offensive against the Cuban people through the tightening of the blockade.”

The organization also called on its members to remain vigilant regarding possible political, economic, or military actions by the United States against Cuba.
