In a message published on the Turkish platform InSocial, Duran stated that the Israeli actions add to the “dark record” of the Tel Aviv government and reflect a disregard for human values.

The official emphasized that the actions undertaken by the participants of the flotilla constitute “an important step in the struggle in the name of human conscience.”

He also noted that the efforts of activists from various countries to raise awareness of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip demonstrate that “conscience, solidarity, and human dignity still exist.”

Duran also expressed his solidarity with the volunteers injured during the Israeli operation and stated his respect for those who support the Palestinian people and reject what he described as acts of injustice.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry announced yesterday, Thursday, the completion of the evacuation of 422 activists from the Global Sumud Aid Flotilla, detained by Israel while attempting to reach Gaza with humanitarian aid.
