“The West is trying to alienate our allies, starting with our neighbors, as it did with Georgia and Moldova, as it is now doing with Ukraine, and as it is currently trying to do with Armenia, dragging it into that same flawed logic,” Lavrov said during the meeting of the Foreign and Defense Policy Council.
The Foreign Minister maintained that all these actions pursue a single objective: “to do the greatest possible damage to Russia and hinder the task of preserving and strengthening Russia as a true great power and civilization.”
Lavrov warned that war in Eurasia “is already in full swing” following the aggression “prepared by the West through Ukraine against Russia,” and also mentioned the military operation in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, as well as clashes in various parts of the Asian continent, including confrontations on the borders of major states in South and East Asia.
“And that’s without even mentioning Latin America, where, as we can understand, it’s not all over yet,” the minister added.
