In its statement, the CNTP emphasized that no force is capable of erasing the ideals of resistance and dignity of a Revolution like Cuba’s, subjected for 67 years to a criminal economic, commercial, and financial blockade.
In this regard, the largest labor federation repudiated the fallacy and narrative of US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who promoted illegal accusations against Army General Raúl Castro to justify a military invasion of the island.
The CNTP reinforced in its statement the idea that they will not be able to erase the revolutionary spirit of an entire people.
For its part, the Patria movement maintained that “Cuba, the moral reserve of Latin America, is not alone.” The group demanded an end to hostilities and unilateral sanctions against those who defend the dignity of their homeland.
In Panama, academics, former diplomats, and members of groups such as the Marti Association of Cuban Residents, the National Solidarity Coordinating Committee, the Frente Amplio for Democracy party, and the National Front for the Defense of Economic and Social Rights, among others, also condemned the accusation against Raúl Castro and the blockade imposed by Washington on Havana more than six decades ago.
