Pan-African Festival closes with gratitude to Cuba

Addis Ababa, May 26 (Prensa Latina) The 1st edition of the Pan-African Festival of Cuban-Trained Graduates is a way for its participants to express their deep admiration and gratitude to the Caribbean island for training them as professionals.

PHD. Malachy Dottin, coordinator of the Committee of Graduates in Cuba, thanked online Havana for its contribution, and affirmed that he has become one of Saint George’s most respected, beloved, and committed partners in development.

Dottin emphasized that Cuba has showed for decades an unwavering solidarity with his country and the Caribbean in general through medical care, education, vocational training, and humanitarian cooperation.

He asserted, “Cuba continues to serve humanity with remarkable courage, conviction, and selfless dedication.”

He revealed that during the Month of Solidarity with Cuba, from May to June, a coordinated national effort is underway to collect one million dollars in humanitarian aid, including the collection of essential items such as solar lamps and small solar-powered devices.

The initiative also seeks to collect medicines and supplies, as well as hygiene and sanitation products.
