“The CSC and the more than two thousand volunteers who have traveled to Cuba since 1991 condemn the bellicose and genocidal statements made by Jennifer Gonzalez, said Milagros Rivera, president of the organization, referring to remarks made by the governor on the Molusco TV Podcast.
For Rivera, the Puerto Rican governor, “once again seeking a minute of fame to overshadow her mismanagement and President Donald Trump’s contempt for the annexation of Puerto Rico, like a servile lapdog of the empire, expresses her glee that under her administration, Puerto Rico has reactivated military bases and our country is being used to attack sister nations in Latin America and the Caribbean.”
She asserted that she gleefully announces a possible U.S. military invasion of Cuba, thus becoming part of the criminal campaign against the Cuban people.
“It is important that Jennifer Gonzalez knows that the Puerto Rican people reject militarization and demand peace in our land and in the region. Our people will never forgive the traitors of this long struggle, which, above partisan preferences, our people have waged,” he stated.
Rivera emphasized that “it is important to know that the friendship and solidarity between Cuba and Puerto Rico is more than a century old and is evident in all sectors. Neither the empire nor its lackeys have ever been able to break these unbreakable ties between Cuba and Puerto Rico.”
“Let those who govern with the minority vote of the country know that there will be no peace in Puerto Rico if the empire militarily attacks Cuba, and they will be responsible for whatever happens to our country.”
