“From May 27 to 29, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan at the invitation of his counterpart, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev,” the Kazakh presidential spokesperson announced.
According to the official statement, during the Russian leader’s state visit, Tokayev and Putin will discuss the current situation and development prospects of the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance relations between the two nations.
It is also noted that the Eurasian Economic Forum will be held on May 28, with the participation of the heads of State of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will meet on May 29.
Previously, Russia’s ambassador to Kazakhstan, Alexei Borodavkin, stated that Putin’s visit to Astana would be very busy, with most of his time dedicated to personal meetings with his Kazakh counterpart.
