In a letter signed by its coordinator, Christopher Fonseca, the Indian organization made a special appeal to those committed to peace, justice, secularism, and anti-imperialism to stand in defense of the Cuban cause.
The Indian organization described the Cuban people as a symbol of courage in the face of the United States’ attempts at intimidation and economic warfare against the Caribbean nation.
At a time when greed, militarism, and corporate power dominate international politics, Cuba continues to remind humanity that another path is possible, one rooted in healthcare, education, international solidarity, and human dignity, the letter stated.
In that regard, it reiterated its opposition to the United States blockade and all unilateral coercive measures against Cuba, as well as its support for the sovereignty of the Caribbean nation and its right to self-determination.
The Goa Coalition for Justice and Peace reaffirmed its admiration for the resilience and dignity of the Cuban people and its conviction that international relations must be based on equality, peace, and mutual respect, not on domination and punishment.
It emphasized that Cuba’s struggle is not only that of Cubans, but is part of a broader human struggle against imperialism, exploitation, and political intimidation.
