At a press conference at the Cuban diplomatic headquarters in San Salvador, solidarity groups from the Central American nation stated that the Executive Order of January 29, signed by US President Donald Trump, imposed a brutal blockade on fuel supplies, which constitutes an act of economic warfare.
This measure paralyzes hospitals, urgent surgical treatments, the supply of pediatric medications, and impacts all sectors of Cuban society, they noted.
There is an increase in threats of military aggression against Cuba and the fabrication of war pretexts that, if materialized, would have incalculable consequences with a negative impact on regional peace and stability, they warned.
On the accusations against the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Raúl Castro, they stated that this shows the double standards of the United States government, which has historically protected self-confessed terrorists and lacks moral authority.
The Cuban people defend their legitimate right to self-determination, as showed by the 6,230,973 signatures supporting the Declaration of the Revolutionary Government during the “My Signature for the Homeland” campaign.
