The military body specified on its official messaging channel, Max, that units of the Northern Troop Group, through their active operations, established control over the town of Novovasilevka in the Kharkiv region.
The Russian Ministry of Defense estimated that Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered approximately 1,245 casualties in the last 24 hours in the area of the Russian special military operation.
According to the military report, the Central and Eastern Troop Groups inflicted the highest number of casualties, more than 370 each, followed by the Northern Group, with up to 185 personnel killed.
The Western Group suffered more than 180 casualties. In the Southern Group’s area of operations, Ukraine lost up to 90 soldiers, and in the Dnieper Group’s area of operations, up to 50.
The Ukrainian army also lost one tank, nine armored fighting vehicles, 72 cars, seven artillery pieces, and two electronic warfare stations.
In addition, Russian air defenses intercepted four guided bombs and 184 unmanned aerial vehicles.
Since February 24, 2022, Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine, whose objectives, according to Russian President Vladimir Putin, are to protect the population of Donbas from “genocide by the Kyiv regime” and to address the national security risks posed by NATO’s eastward expansion.
