The documents signed, also in the presence of Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, included the Action Program for the implementation of the Vietnam-Thailand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the 2026-2031 period.
In addition, a release addressed to the Thai Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, which will inherit the functions and responsibilities of the former Ministry of Science and Technology, and continue implementing the Agreement signed with the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology.
Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) were also signed regarding cooperation in the development of the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations Center Project between VietjetAir and the Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand (EECO), and between the Academy of Public Administration and Governance (APAG) and Khon Kaen University.
During the ceremony, Lam and Charnvirakul boosted the commemorative logo for the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand on August 6, 1976.
To Lam arrived in Thailand for a tour that will later take him to Singapore and the Philippines.
This is his first visit to Southeast Asian nations as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
