Prensa Latina learned that the activists, who reject the US blockade as collective punishment against the Cuban people and a violation of international law, stated: “We join the global call for its immediate and unconditional lifting.”
The statement also rejects the judicial and media persecution of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Army General Raul Castro.
In this regard, the text denounces “the use of judicial processes for political purposes to criminalize the leaders of the Cuban Revolution.
The persecution of Army General Raul Castro is part of a strategy of external interference that seeks to destabilize Cuba and disregard the sovereign will of its people.”
Regarding the Pentagon’s threat of military intervention, they state: “We reject any plan, declaration, or action that points to a U.S. military aggression against Cuba,” the document emphasizes.
It explains that an invasion would gravely violate the principle of non-intervention and jeopardize peace in Latin America and the Caribbean.
