The Prime Minister’s words show the French government’s position on the sensitive issue of Israeli aggression on Lebanon, a matter debated in a government session in the French parliament.

Lecornu also condemned the behavior of Zionist forces who mistreated members of the Gaza Solidarity Flotilla, a group of more than 400 small boats that were blocked by Tel Aviv.

Lecornu even promised to pursue legal action regarding this case of mistreatment, which he described as odious, after a video of the incident was released, sparking widespread international outrage.

The prime minister’s stance also appeared to be influenced by yesterday’s confrontation between the French foreign minister and members of the La France Insoumise parliamentary group, a center-left coalition that demanded the government be more proactive in rejecting Tel Aviv’s aggression.

Despite Washington’s announcements of a ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel, the latter continues its airstrikes against southern Lebanon and the outskirts of Beirut, in clear violation of all international norms.
