According to the report, specialists designed the Impulse defensive system, which includes two ground robotic modules operating in tandem, and is intended to protect civilian infrastructure and operate in combat zones.
“An air defense system has been developed to detect and destroy targets at a considerable distance.
The system consists of two types of vehicles: the Impulse-RLS and the Impulse-Zveroboy,” the press release from the developing company, Gumich RTK, stated.
The first vehicle detects drones and transmits their coordinates to the second. The Impulse-Zveroboy, after receiving the target designation, launches an attack drone to destroy the threat. Remote control allows the operator to remain in a safe location.
The company also unveiled the “Impulse-Excavator” robot for frontline engineering work. The machine is controlled via a mesh network, and repeaters provide the necessary communication range.
Previously, the state-owned corporation Rostec reported the successful deployment of the “Impulse” multipurpose tracked robots on the front lines.
