“The rejection of a US military aggression against Cuba is overwhelming: 90,1% oppose the military threat and only 9,9% support it,” he stated on the social network X.
He also specified that US government propaganda attempts to make the minority option of disguising aggression as liberation, sanctions as aid, and intervention as transition seem inevitable.
He further noted, based on data from a Cuban Foreign Ministry investigation into the conversation in May of this year, that those who advocate for peace are the majority, and that military intervention is not a demand of the people, but rather a narrative fabricated by centers of power.
“Latin America and the Caribbean are not anyone’s backyard or battleground. It is a zone of peace,” he asserted.
