According to official reports, the greatest risks are concentrated in the provinces of Colon and Bocas del Toro, as well as the Ngqbe-Bugle region and various areas along the Pacific coast.
According to the weather forecast, cloudy skies and intermittent light to moderate rain will prevail along the Caribbean coast for much of the day.
However, heavier downpours accompanied by lightning are possible in some regions during the afternoon. Therefore, authorities are maintaining special vigilance due to the risk of landslides, river overflows, and flooding.
Frequent rainfall is also forecast for parts of Veraguas, Herrera, Chiriqui, Darien, and the Embera region.
Furthermore, authorities warned that soils remain saturated from Panama West to Darien, increasing the vulnerability of these areas to future weather events.
The day before, a landslide in the community of Valle de San Judas, Colon province, claimed the life of a 35-year-old woman and damaged a home, according to emergency services.
