The event will include meetings of the agriculture working group with discussions on food security, agricultural innovation, sustainable agriculture, agricultural trade, and the empowerment of small-scale farmers.
Indian authorities stated that a special dialogue will be held on June 12 among agriculture ministers focused on food security through small-scale farmers, women, and youth.
The final day will feature the leading BRICS ministerial meeting, which will result in a joint document on agricultural cooperation and innovation.
India’s Agriculture Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, stated regarding the event that BRICS represents a very influential voice for developing countries worldwide.
