In a brief statement, the Indian Foreign Ministry noted that the conflict has now lasted more than 100 days, has caused huge human suffering, and has had a negative impact on the global economy and energy supply.
Indian authorities urged all parties to immediately reduce tensions, ensure that no harm is caused to the civilian population, and conclude the ongoing negotiations to reach a diplomatic solution, so that peace and stability may return to the region.
The current incidents in the Middle East stemmed from Israeli bombings of targets in central and western Iran, and subsequently, in response, Iran launched a series of missile attacks against northern Israel.
On Monday, several explosions were reported in Tehran, the Iranian capital, and air defenses shot down a hostile drone over the city.
Local media also pointed out that the city of Isfahan and the Kabudar Ahang area in Hamadan province were targeted, although no details have yet been released regarding possible damage or casualties.
In response, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, declared that US and Israeli bases and assets in the region turn into legitimate targets, while Revolutionary Guard officials warned that Israeli actions would not go unpunished.
