The event, running until June 14, will transform Havana into the world epicenter of graphic satire and anti-colonial reflection.
A rigorous selection process narrowed the central exhibition to 61 pieces from 24 nations.
This exhibition is the main course of a program that includes seven exhibitions, a theoretical session, and artistic performances.
More than 350 works, presented by 118 artists from 38 countries across all continents, are competing in this edition, which, according to the organizing committee, has doubled its participation compared to the first event held in 2024.
The organizing committee underscored that the Biennial stands as “a bastion of cultural decolonization” against neoliberal globalization, which, in its view, privileges colonialist, patriarchal, and imperial narratives.
