KCNA informed that the two leaders agreed to expand political, economic, and cultural cooperation in a complex international context.
The DPRK leader received Chinese President Xi Jinping in Pyongyang on his first visit in seven years.
Both leaders emphasized the strength of the bilateral relationship and agreed to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the China-DPRK Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation, and Mutual Assistance.
They pledged, during the talks, to strengthen strategic communication through high-level exchanges and deepen cooperation in politics, economics, and culture.
Kim and Xi also discussed the international situation, underscoring the need to coordinate positions to defend the sovereignty and development interests of both nations, as well as to safeguard regional peace and stability.
