“We responded to every threat from Trump forcefully,” Shekarchi stated in a press conference, while maintaining that Iran will not back down in the face of pressure from the United States or Israel.

The spokesman added that the Islamic Republic is confident in prevailing over its adversaries and affirmed that the authorities have no concerns regarding the current confrontational scenario.

The statements come after US media reported that Trump is considering ordering further attacks against Iranian energy facilities and other strategic infrastructure.
